Abida Parveen

Born in Larkana in Sindh in 1957, she received her early training from her father Ghulam Haider Khan. Starting out with radio, she later made mystical and devotional songs celebrating the great saints of Sindh and Punjab her speciality. She has a powerful voice and she throws herself, heart and soul, into her concert performances. She has been honored with the Pride of Performance medal.
